Kidnapped around 1800 by the Hidatsa Tribe.

Married to Toussant Charbonneau.

Gave birth to Pompy.

She spoke Shoshone.

Interpreted for Lewis & Clark.

Guided through hostile Indian lands.

Traded for horses to pass through the Rocky Mountains.

Rescued Clark’s journals and food from the river.
