A long, long journey

Of being frightened and worried

She was helpful but shy 

Being threatened by death 

And dehydration 

She was finally going back 

Back to her family 

And her home 

On the way 

She got food

And horses for the trip

With a baby on her back 

She was taking the journey

The journey of her life

She was Sacagawea

She was intelligent and strong

Depressed but calm

On their long journey

She faced death and sicknesses 

And even getting lost

But she had led the way

She helped and helped away
