We Are One

My family is Welsh and Finnish.

My family is Irish and Norwegian.

We are German and Polish and Russian.

But we all speak the same language.

My family celebrates Christmas.

My family celebrates Hanukkah.

We celebrate Vasbyglaget

But we all celebrate each other.

My family is a lot of things,

And from a lot of places.

But we all love.

We all hope.

We all dream.

My family is cats and dogs.

We can be as jittery as squirrels

Or calm and quiet.

We are strange yet normal.

We are the Golds, Smiths, Nikkilas, Johnsons

And we are one.
